FAQ:

Why can’t I find a particular talk?
Some talks in a collection are unpublished, meaning they are only viewable by members of a collection.
If you are a member of the collection, you may need to Log In to see any talks that are not publicly available.

I can’t remember my password, how do I log in?
Here’s how to reset your password:

  • Click on the Log In button on the top bar of the page
  • Click the "Forgot your password?" link
  • Enter your username OR the email address you remember using previously
  • Check your email for a link to create a new password

How do I search for talks in a collection?
Click on the Home button in the menu bar to navigate to the Search page. Enter text in the Search box to find results where those words appear anywhere in Title, Summary, Notes, etc. from a Talk.
You can also select options from the dropdown filters for Speaker, Location, Keywords, etc.
Multiple filters may be applied to narrow down your search even further.

How do I edit a talk's info?
Information on editing talks is available in our Editing Guide.

Why do some talks say (AI Title) after Title?
These AI titles are generated automatically, when there is no official title for the talk yet.  These recordings often come from tapes with handwritten labels, and sometimes information like the Title, Speaker, and Date, which could be hard to decipher from the photos of the tape.
If you see a Talk that is missing information and you can provide it, please click the Edit button on the Talk page (provide screenshot here which circles the button). Learn more in the Editing Guide.

How do Keywords work?
Keywords are words or phrases which can be added to a talk to make it more searchable within a Collection:

  • Example: A user may search within a Collection for talks which have the keyword Mindfulness to find talks which reference or discuss that topic

AI Suggested Keywords are automatically generated by AI when a talk is uploaded, and they may or may not be helpful for members to find the talk. If you’re a member of the collection, you can edit the talk and click a Suggested Keyword to automatically add it to the Talk’s searchable keywords.
Members are encouraged to add Keywords to talks - to do this, please see the Editing Guide..

I selected a “Curator Action” or “Manager Action” when editing the talk - when will I see the results?
Actions like Generate New Transcript, Generate New AI Summary, Suggest Keywords, etc. might take up to several minutes to perform. Try refreshing the talk page in 5-10 minutes after you’ve saved the talk. If the result you’ve requested isn’t showing up, feel free to contact support at help@engagewisdom.com

When listening, how can I skip ahead or back?
Clicking anywhere on the progress bar while audio is playing will let you navigate to various parts of the talk.

Can I share a link to a specific talk?
Of course! You can share any public talk by simply copying the URL from the top of your browser window. Keep in mind that sharing private or unpublished talks would require visitors to log-in for access, and would only be available and shareable within your collection.

Can I share private talks with friends outside my collection?
Since unpublished talks are only available to collection members by permission of the author, please don’t give your login or password to anyone else. If a fellow collection member would like to join, encourage them to Create an Account.
